sense of setting the future direction

PI development seminar ‘The basics of patenting for career advancement and why you should patent your research results’(in Japanese)

Universities do not need to patent because they do not conduct business.
While some people say so, we will discuss the reasons why university research results must be patented in terms of the basics of patents and innovation creation. In the "Basics of Patents," we will explain the basics of what a patent is and what you should know about it. Then, we will explain the reasons why universities have been actively obtaining patents in recent years from the viewpoints of industry creation, law, etc. Not only researchers in the fields of science and engineering, but also researchers in the humanities and social sciences who deal with competitive strategy, innovation theory, big data, etc. are welcome to attend.
