For T-GEx Associates
T-GEx Associates may request to have one academic mentor to support their development.
- The aim of mentoring is to enable T-GEx associates to sustain their high levels of enthusiasm and research activity. It is expected for academic mentors to provide T-GEx associates with advice on a wide range of topics such as the development of their specialized and interdisciplinary research, the extending of international research activities, career development, acquisition of research funds, research dissemination skills, social impacts, work-life balance, the relieving of stress.
- T-GEx Working Committee assigns the academic mentor to the Associate, upon consideration of needs of the Associate or the Associate's affiliated academic institution.
- Mentoring should be held at least once a year (June-July, February-March), adding more f the mentors and mentees require.
- Each T-GEx associate is asked to make a brief report of mentoring in the Associates' year-end activity reports (a detailed description of mentoring is not required).
