The UJA Paper Award is an award given by the United Japanese researchers Around the World (UJA) to support young researchers active overseas, and is given to Japanese researchers who have published excellent scientific papers based on the following principles:
 1. Awards for excellent papers
 2. Strengthening dissemination of information on the contents of papers both domestically and internationally
 3. Promoting research exchange among researchers in different fields
This award was established in 2015 as the Indiana State Outstanding Research Paper Award (IT-IJC Outstanding Research Paper Award) with Dr. Eiichi NEGISHI (Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2010) serving as the jury chair. With the support of the JST, UJA aims to revitalize the community of Japanese researchers overseas and promote research activities overseas.
