T-GEx Fellow Dr. HAYAKAWA Hisashi, nstitute for Space–Earth Environmental Research (ISEE) Nagoya University, Nagoya University, has published a paper in the Astrophysical Journal Letters.
This letter reveals that the Carrington flare of 1859, the greatest solar flare in the observational history, was much more intense than previously considered.
This research has attracted worldwide attention, being selected as a Research Highlight in Nature and ranked as one of the most read in the Astrophysical Journal Letters.
