High-mass star formation in the Large Magellanic Cloud triggered by colliding H I flows
This study indicates that the collision of large-scale atomic hydrogen gas resulting from galactic interactions constitutes a pivotal event governing the high-mass star formation process in the Large Magellanic Cloud. Leveraging these findings as a starting point, we will undertake a comprehensive examination of star formation and interstellar gas evolution driven by galactic interactions, utilizing multi-wavelength observations that combine X-ray and optical-infrared data.
