Seine (Department of Biomedical Sciences, College of Life and Health Sciences \/ Center for Mathematical Science and Artificial Intelligence, Chubu University) ranked first in PestCLEF 2026, one of the LifeCLEF challenges at CLEF, with an AI information extraction system.<\/span><br>\r\n<br>\r\n<span style=\"font-size: 110%;\">PestCLEF is a task for extracting relationships among crop diseases, pests, host plants, locations, and related entities as knowledge graphs. Dr. Shintani\u2019s system identifies diseases, pests, plants, vectors, and occurrence locations from text on plant diseases and pests, and outputs their relationships.
