Seine, College of Life and Health Sciences Chubu University, received top prize in the Basic Science Research Division of the Aichi Prefecture \"Wakashachi Encouragement Award\".<br>\r\nThe Basic Science Research Division focuses on basic research to discover new phenomena related to natural science and elucidate their mechanisms.<\/p>\r\n<p>Award-winning proposal:\u3000<strong>Elucidation of intramyocardial biomolecule dynamics using electron microscopy live imaging<\/strong><\/p>\r\n<p>Proposal overview:<br>\r\nThey discovered that when the heart muscle is heated, the sarcomeres enter a state of thermal oscillations (HSOs), which maintains the cycle by regulating the amplitude and speed of the oscillations.
